An Interdisciplinary Exploration
Art and Culture have always represented the refined voice of society while law and judgments have been the regulators of social conduct. This may initially seem opposing forces but the time has come to explore the two in conjunction with each other to help direct a common civilizational voice.
Towards that end, the Apparao Foundation for the Arts and the Ganesh Shivaswamy Foundation have partnered to look at an interdisciplinary exploration of Art and Law.

The first Art and Law talk was on the Recovery of the Klimt Paintings from Austria by E. Randol Schoenberg.
This talk was by the lawyer who conducted the case for Maria Altmann who fought to retrieve the paintings of Gustav Klimt which were misappropriated by the Nazis during World War – II.
